Helicopter crashes into sea in Nigeria`s Lagos: official
A commercial helicopter crashed into sea in Lagos, Nigeria`s economic hub on Wednesday afternoon, carrying 11 passengers, a local official said.
Ibrahim Farinloye, spokesman for the National Emergency Management Agency in Lagos state, told Xinhua that the pilot and co-pilot of the Bristow helicopter together with the 11 passengers were rescued alive.

Operation is ongoing, he said, adding that authorized officials would brief the media after completion of rescue.

Aviation sources told Xinhua that the chopper disappeared from radar after it took off from the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Ikeja, Lagos capital city.
