Emotional photos have emerged online showing a tearful reunion between a newlywed couple who have only been able to spend 30 minutes with each other since their wedding.
On February 3, Fan Ding and Lei Yun met for the first time since they tied the knot on January 1, the People`s Daily Online reports.

They reunited ahead of the upcoming Chinese New Year so that they could use their precious time to celebrate their first festival as a married couple.

The pair had been in a long distance relationship for six years before marrying on January 1 this year.

They had a brief ceremony before heading straight back to work.

Upon learning that his new wife would be in Guangzhou station, the man rushed from 30km away to spend just 30 minutes with her before she returned to work.

They posed for a selfie together before she departed.

According to reports, because of their working situation, they only get to see each other every six months. When they are apart from each other, they phone each other and talk on messaging apps.

The Lunar New Year period is China`s peak travel time and so many people are needed to work on the country`s public transport system.

Fan Ding bought his wife a red scarf as a new year`s gift.
