Situation in Ukraine affects all ex-USSR countries
Ukraine has not only become a local source of tension, but the situation in this country affects all post-Soviet countries, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said during the opening of the CIS summit in Minsk on Oct.10.

The president added that the developments in Ukraine undermine all integration foundations among the post-Soviet countries, RIA Novosti reported.

“Conflicting parties should implement the Minsk agreements in order to achieve peace in the south-east of Ukraine,” Lukashenko said, adding that namely conflicting parties should agree on the settlement issues.

“The conflicting parties should agree on the burning issues by themselves, instead of looking for solutions in Berlin or in Milan,” the president said.

On September 5, the representatives of Ukraine, Russia, the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk people`s republics and the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) met in the Belarusian capital, Minsk to discuss the peaceful settlement of the Ukrainian conflict.

The meeting resulted in a series of agreements between the Ukrainian government and the self-proclaimed people`s republics.
