Kyrgyzstan to host meeting of Council of CIS FMs in April 2015
Another meeting of the Council of CIS Foreign Ministers will be held in Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan) on April 3, 2015, BELTA reported with reference to the Belarusian foreign ministry.

A decision about the time and venue of another meeting of the Council of CIS Foreign Ministers was made at a meeting of the Ministerial Council in Minsk.

Around 24 agenda items were discussed at the meeting.

The course of fulfilling a plan of main actions to implement the CIS further development concept was considered at the meeting. The meeting participants came to the conclusion that this document had a positive impact on strengthening the integration processes in the CIS.

Many issues were devoted to humanitarian cooperation. A fundamental document in this area is the draft plan of priority actions in the field of humanitarian cooperation of the CIS member-states for 2015-2016. It envisages holding some 200 events in such areas as education, culture, science, information and mass communication, book distribution, sports, tourism, youth cooperation.

The meeting participants approved the draft plan of actions for 2015-2017 to implement the cooperation development strategy in the field of tourism up to 2020. The document envisages the measures to improve the legislation in the field of tourism, the development of security system, harmonization of standards of tourism services, the development of appropriate infrastructure in the CIS, promotion of tourism services in the Commonwealth and the international market.
