Milwaukee County recognizes 19 January as Black January day
Chris Abele, County Executive for Milwaukee, Wisconsin, U.S., has adopted a proclamation on the 26th anniversary of 20 January 1990, recognizing 19th January as a Black January day.
The proclamation highlighted the tragic Bloody January events which resulted in the killing of more than 130 civilians, women and children. “This event was a turning point in Azerbaijan`s history, the next year brought a cascade of changes including the adoption of the Declaration on the Restoration of the State Independence of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the approval of the Constitutional Act on the State Independence of the Republic of Azerbaijan," the proclamation said.
