Iran says intends to develop relations with Azerbaijan in all areas
Iran intends to develop relations with Azerbaijan in all areas, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Hossein Jabari Ansari told on Monday.
Cooperation with neighboring and Muslim countries remains unchanged principle of Iran’s foreign policy, said Ansari. “We will continue to further develop cooperation with countries that supported us in difficult times,” he noted.

Unfortunately, some neighboring countries, due to weak foreign policy, show a hostile position against Iran regarding the nuclear deal signed with the P5+1 group of countries, Ansari said, urging all neighboring countries to put an end to hostility and address their internal problems.

The spokesman went on to add that Iran and European countries are in talks on the development of cooperation.

“Iran and the EU have agreed to continue bilateral talks in Tehran and Brussels, alternatively, once in every six months,” he said.

According to him, the first phase of the talks will take place today and tomorrow in Tehran. “Next week, Iranian FM Mohammad Javad Zarif will leave Brussels for the next phase of the talks,” Ansari concluded.
