NATO names new liaison officer for Central Asia
Uzbekistan
Earlier, Alexander Vinnikov, a representative of the Netherlands, was serving as NATO liaison officer in Central Asia.

Implementation of joint programs between Uzbekistan and NATO in different areas were discussed during the meeting of Kamilov and Puglisi.

The parties also exchanged views on some issues of international and regional policy.

NATO Liaison Office in Central Asia was officially opened in May 2014 in Tashkent with the participation of the NATO Secretary General`s Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia James Appathurai.
