The additional frequencies on the popular route, which is operated by an Airbus A320 aircraft, will allow those travelling to and from Baku additional options when connecting onwards to Qatar Airways’ network of more than 150 global destinations, and brings the total number of weekly flights to the city to 11.

The increase in demand for travel to and from the country and the airline’s steadfast commitment to the Azerbaijan market has resulted in the additional flights on this route. In turn, the route expansion will now increase seat capacity by more than 35% in each direction per week.

The Doha to Baku route is served by an Airbus A320 aircraft featuring 12 seats in Business Class and 132 seats in Economy Class. The aircraft offers individual seatback television screens providing all passengers with the next-generation interactive on board entertainment system, Oryx One, featuring a choice of more than 2000 entertainment options.

Daily flights from Baku connect via Doha to popular business and leisure destinations in Qatar Airways’ global network including more option from Baku to the Americas and Europe, such as Houston, Washington D.C. and Barcelona, with seamless connections of approximately one hour through Doha’s new state-of-the-art Hamad International Airport.
