The Republic of Korea and Azerbaijan intend to develop cooperation in the IT sphere, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea Kim Chang Gyu said in Baku Feb. 17.
South Korea and Azerbaijan intend to develop cooperation in the IT sector, said Kim Chang-gyu, the Korean ambassador to Baku, Feb. 17.

He made the remark at a ceremony for launching an integrated trade, post-trade and surveillance system in the securities market of Azerbaijan.

The ambassador also said the two countries have great potential for development of relations.

Under a contract, earlier signed by Azerbaijan’s State Securities Committee and Korea Stock Exchange, the Korean side has created a trade, post-trade and surveillance information system.

Ambassador Chang-gyu said the system will allow developing the cooperation in the IT sphere between the two countries.

“I believe the launch of this system will play an important role in the development of not only the securities market, but also the Azerbaijani capital market as a whole,” said the ambassador. “The system will also allow developing relations between the two countries in the ICT sector, as well as in business.”
