During the meeting the Azerbaijani president expressed his deep condolences to the Turkish FM in connection with a deadly terrorist attack in the Turkish capital Ankara, the Turkish state-run agency Anadolu reported.
In these difficult days, the people of Azerbaijan, as always, stand by the Turkish people, President Aliyev noted.
The Azerbaijani president said he understands the cancellation of his Turkish counterpart’s visit to Azerbaijan, assuring that a meeting the agenda of which includes important issues will be held soon.
The Turkish FM in turn expressed gratitude to the Azerbaijani president for his condolences and support.
