30 sleeping cars ordered from Swiss company for Baku-Tbilisi-Kars route
A meeting with Ambassador of Switzerland to Azerbaijan Philippe Stalder took place on Friday in the "Azerbaijan Railways" Closed Joint-Stock Company.
Spokesman for the CJSC Nadir Azmammadov told at the meeting that, Head of “Azerbaijani Railways” CJSC Javid Gurbanov informed about the implemented projects and work done for realization of international and regional transport corridor projects. Gurbanov said that the CJSC has been cooperating with the Swiss company Stadler Rail Group since 2015. An agreement was signed on purchase of five KISS double-decker electric trains from the Stadler Rail Group Company. Three of the trains are already running on the Baku-Sumgayit-Baku route. Besides, 30 carriages from the "Stadler" company for the trains running on Baku-Tbilisi-Kars route. The production of the sleeping cars has always been started.

Stalder expressed satisfaction with the large-scale reforms conducted by the "Azerbaijan Railways" CJSC in all fields. The sides decided to further expand the bilateral cooperation.
