Map distorting Azerbaijan geographical names removed from UN official website
Chairman of the International Eurasia Press Fund Umud Mirzayev has sent a letter to Paloma Durán, Director of the Sustainable Development Goals Fund (SDG) created by the United National Development Programme (UNDP) with financial contribution from the Spanish government, and Helen Clerk, Administrator of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), protesting the presentation of Azerbaijan’s occupied lands in Armenian.

After the letter, the map was taken down from the site.

Note that, the map published on the UNDP’s official website presents Azerbaijan’s Nagorno-Karabakh region and the seven Armenian-occupied districts in Armenian. (https://azvision.az/redirect.php?url=http://www.sdgfund.org/current-programmes) Umud Mirzayev in his letter pointed out that the presentation of districts, village, towns, etc. of Nagorno-Karabakh in Armenian due to Armenia’s occupation of these territories can only be perceived as justification of the occupation and the injustice resulted from it. The letter demanded the faults in the UN-published digital map should be corrected.
