“Historical events are frequently referred to when talking about historical relations between states. We think it’s necessary to let the world get to know of the Karabakh problem though [memories from] the tragedies faced by people living there.
By publishing the memories of Khojaly massacre survivor Ms Durdane and covering her pain, I believe we have given valuable pieces of evidence for future historical books. In terms of letting the Turkish people learn of that tragedy and of the book being an essential document for historians studying that region, I think we have published the book at the right time. We had held two international symposiums on Khojaly and published two books covering the Khojaly events. We will continue our efforts for the Karabakh issue,” he said.
The book, written in Turkish, is authored by Mayis Alizade, a candidate of philological sciences and journalist-writer Aqil Alasgarov has written the foreword to the book.
