Istanbul security forces arrest 14 suspects on terror propaganda charges
The anti-terror unit of the Turkish police service arrested 14 people on Wednesday on suspicion of being engaged in terror propaganda on social media, local media reported.
The suspects were detained during 17 raids that took place across Istanbul early in the morning, the Dogan News Agency said, adding that police used a helicopter in the operation.

Operatives seized firearms and organizational documents at the suspects’ homes, according to the agency.

The suspects allegedly changed their IP-addresses to create fake web-pages where they published articles condoning terrorism.

The raids come in response to the February 17 bombing of military housing in Ankara that killed 28 people and wounded 61. Militants from the Kurdistan Freedom Hawks (TAK) reportedly claimed responsibility for the attack.
