Azerbaijani, Iranian presidents also discussed Syrian crisis

The Syrian crisis was also discussed during the meeting of the Azerbaijani and Iranian presidents in Tehran, Iranian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mohsen Pak Ayeen told reporters on Thursday.

The two presidents noted that terrorism is a major threat to the region, stressing the necessity of resolving the regional conflicts by peaceful means, according to the ambassador.

Both Iran and Azerbaijan think the fate of Syria should be determined by the Syrian people, the ambassador said. “The Iranian and Azerbaijani presidents considered a military solution to the Syrian crisis impossible, emphasizing the importance o peace talks bet
