Extraordinary FIFA Congress convened in Zurich on Friday, with one of its aims being the election of the new FIFA president. Infantino received 115 votes, well above the 50 percent required to become the new head of the football governing body. Infantino will not serve a full term, but will assume ousted president Joseph Blatter`s term, which was to expire in 2019.
FIFA has invested some 140 million Swiss francs ($141.3 million) in the establishment of the museum, including 110 million spent on the reconstruction of the building.
The museum has 3,000 square meters (some 3,588 square yards) of exhibition space and more than 1,000 exhibits.
