A piece of misinformation about the situation around the contact line of troops in the direction of Nakhchivan in June 2014 has resurfaced on some social networks and in the local web-based media, the defense ministry told on Monday.
“When this information was spread about two years ago, we immediately dismissed it as false and baseless,” the ministry said, noting that the distribution of this false information serves someone’s interests and is an attempt to create conditions for provocations.
Some local media outlets on Monday reported on the alleged attack of Armenian armed forces on the Azerbaijani positions in the direction of Nakhchivan.
