Bridge collapses as Armenia overpumps water from the occupied Sarsang reservoir
The bridge has collapsed in Ayrija village of Barda region, Azerbaijan, APA’s Karabakh bureau reports.

The increase in the water level in Tartarchay river caused the incident.

Armenian side pumped water from the Sarsang reservoir, located in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan, above the norm, Tartarchay waterworks office told.

The increase of the water level also resulted irrigation channel “Khan Arkh” to fill with warp and gravel. Measures are taken to prevent floods in the region.

The increase in the level of the river also delayed restoration work at the bridge in Ayrija village of Barda .
