Armenia demand Georgia to recognize `Armenian Genocide`
The Armenian secular and religious organizations that function in Georgia petitioned to the Parliament of Georgia, with a request to formally recognize the Armenian Genocide of 1915-1923.
“In the name of justice and commitment to democratic values, we call upon [you] to join the civilized society initiatives in the world and to set up a discussion, in the Parliament of Georgia, with respect to the matter of recognizing the `Armenian Genocide` that was committed in the Ottoman Empire,” the respective petition states in particular.

To note, however, over the course of the past years, the Georgian-Armenian organizations have repeatedly petitioned to the Government and the Parliament of Georgia, and with a demand to recognize the `Armenian Genocide`, but their demand remains unanswered to this day.
