Armenia`s policy proves its clear intention to continue the occupation of Azerbaijani territories and ensure the annexation of the territories occupied by military forces and subjected to massive ethnic cleansing, Hikmat Hajiyev, Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson.
He made the remarks on March 2 at the press conference on the submission of the report ‘Illegal economic and other activities on the occupied territories of Azerbaijan.’
According to him, the lack of adequate international response to Armenia`s actions only encourages this country to increase its senses of impunity and lawlessness.
For this reason, Azerbaijan urges the international community to force Armenia to fully honor its international obligations, immediately stop settling both Armenians and foreign nationals in occupied Azerbaijani territories, refrain from economic and commercial activities there and stop the destruction and looting of archaeological, cultural and religious monuments, as well as samples of cultural heritage and sacred sites on these areas, Hajiyev added.
