A STATUE bought for
A bargain hunter spotted the 16th century statue of a Tibetan goddess on a bric-a-brac table.

She took the 6ins gilt-bronze Green Tara figurine to an expert and was told it could be worth up to £8,000.

But in an auction in Wisborough Green, West Sussex, it fetched £19,220.
