The head of state noted that this project will stretch from Baku to Italy: “On February 29, Azerbaijan was noted as a country implementing this project in the document signed by 11 countries, including EU. I hope that Croatia and Montenegro will also join this project. This is a project of energy diversification and free competition. Our main goal is to implement it as a commercial project. Energy must not be used as a political tool. The political tools must not intervene in the business area. Oil price will not be low for a long time. European demand for natural gas will increase. We must avoid unnecessary competition and see energy and policy separately to achieve a success”.
