Turkey-Azerbaijan High Level Strategic Cooperation Council to be held in Ankara
The fifth meeting of Turkey-Azerbaijan High Level Strategic Cooperation Council will be held in Ankara instead of Baku.

The initiative to hold the meeting in Ankara came from Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan thanked Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev for this gesture and his solidarity in the fight against terrorism, the agency says referring sources at the Turkish Presidential Administration.

Erdoğan has cancelled his scheduled visit to Azerbaijan on March 15.

Earlier, Turkish president cancelled his scheduled visit to Azerbaijan after a terror attack in capital Ankara on Feb. 18.

A meeting of the Turkey-Azerbaijan High Level Strategic Cooperation Council was expected to be held during Erdogan’s visit to Azerbaijan.
