Ankara hosts official welcoming ceremony for Azerbaijan`s president - PHOTOS, VIDEO
An official welcoming ceremony was held in Ankara March 15 for Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

A guard of honor was lined up for Azerbaijani president in Ankara. President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan welcomed Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev.

The national anthems of the two countries were played out. The head of the guard of honor reported to Azerbaijan’s president. Then the presidents passed by the guard of honor.

Turkish state and government representatives were introduced to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, and the Azerbaijani delegation members were introduced to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Following the official welcoming ceremony, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a one-on-one meeting.

The fifth meeting of the Turkey-Azerbaijan High Level Strategic Cooperation Council is due to take place today.

The Azerbaijani president put forward an initiative to hold the fifth meeting of the Turkey-Azerbaijan High Level Strategic Cooperation Council in Ankara. Erdogan, in turn, expressed gratitude to his Azerbaijani counterpart for this noble gesture and solidarity in the fight against terrorism.
