Azerbaijani & Turkish truckers displeased with artificial obstacles
Turkish truckers who are displeased with the artificial obstacles by Georgian customs have held a protest.
The Georgian customs officers create artificial obstacles for the trucks moving from Turkey toward Georgia, AzVision.az reports citing the Kommersant newspaper.

Turkish embassy in Georgia also confirmed the fact: “We have held negotiations with the opposite side in this regard. It was revealed that detailed inspection of the Turkish trucks is connected with the new rules applied by the Georgian side. WE reached agreement on reduction of customs procedures to the minimum. We focus on this issue and think that Turkey-Georgia-Azerbaijan route, a part of Silk Road, must be too quick and effective”.

According to the newspaper, the Azerbaijani truckers are also displeased with the problems in Georgian customs: “Sometimes were are forced to unload and load our trucks repeatedly. We have never faced such situation. This means that the obstacles are created artificially”.
