Azerbaijani CEC warns parties
To date, 14 political parties have presented their 2015 annual financial reports to the Central Election Commission (CEC), CEC deputy chairman Natig Mammadov said on Wednesday.
Mammadov stressed that according to the law parties must present their annual financial reports to the CEC and be done with publishing them by April 1.

“Since last year was the first time, political parties were in need of improving their activities. But this year parties must present their annual financial reports to the CEC by April 1.

From now on, we will take legal actions against parties that do not present their annual financial reports, and we will appeal to the ministry of Justice in this regard. Hope sanctions will not be needed. In this regard, the CEC is organizing informative meetings with parties. One such meeting will take place today. In the future, international organizations too will participate in educating political parties,” said Mammadov.
