In this regard, it is proposed to annex article #308-1 to the Criminal Code, the parliament told.
According to the annex, those misusing budget, targeted budget funds and off-budget public funds will face AZN 8,000 up to AZN 10,000 fine or up to 3 years in prison.
Those misusing a large amount of funds (AZN 250,000 and more) will face from 3 up to 6 years in prison.
The draft law will be tabled at the meeting of the parliament`s Committee on legal policy and state-building on March 17.
