Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev`s visit to Turkey is an exemplary step, said Deniz Baykal, the MP of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey and Former Republican People`s Party (CHP), in his exclusive interview to AzVision.az.
The politician said that, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev`s visit assumes great importance for Turkey.
`Azerbaijani President stands by Turkey in the hardest days. He has never left Turkey alone. This is a very important message for the world. Putting aside all formal protocols, Azerbaijani President decided on holding the fifth meeting of the Turkey-Azerbaijan High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council in Ankara. The world witnessed the friendly and fraternal relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey.`
`This is a historic visit of Azerbaijani President to Turkey. It made Turkish people happy . Azerbaijan has proved that Turkey is not alone. We are proud of this step by Azerbaijan. This is a real friendship. Let the world see that the friendship relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey are stable and eternal`, he stressed.
Deniz Baykal expressed his gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev for his support to Turkish people.
`I express my gratitude to the Azerbaijani President. We are proud of that Turkey has a friend such as Azerbaijan. I do hope for further development of fraternal and friendship relations between our countries,` Baykal concluded.
