Azerbaijan committed to OSCE values, says parliament vice-speaker
Azerbaijan is committed to the OSCE values and interested in developing relations with this organization, said Bahar Muradova, vice-speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament, head of the Azerbaijani delegation to OSCE PA.
She made the remarks during a meeting with the delegation led by Guenther Baechler, Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office for the Southern Caucasus, in Baku March 17.

Noting the seriousness of conflicts worldwide, Muradova emphasized that the steps Germany is going to take during its OSCE chairmanship for the settlement of the ongoing conflicts in the world, including in the South Caucasus is very important for Azerbaijan.

Having suffered from the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict for years, Azerbaijan has always demonstrated its firm stance on this issue, she added.

Guenther Baechler, in his turn, said the OSCE intends to strengthen its activity, because the ongoing conflicts in the world are forcing the organization to take new steps.

The special representative noted that conflicts can be resolved on the basis of consent between the parties.

In addition, the sides discussed the development of Azerbaijan-OSCE cooperation, regional problems and the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
