The Atlanta Police Department (APD) has ordered an evacuation of the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport in Georgia following reports of a suspicious package found on the premises, the airport authority said in a Twitter message on Wednesday.
The Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is one of the world’s busiest airports with regard to passenger traffic, according to media reports.

"Out of an abundance of caution, APD is investigating a suspicious package and has evacuated the public areas of the domestic terminal," the message stated.
