On March 27, Armenian armed forces violated the state border of Azerbaijan on the territory of Gazakh district and tried to enter the country`s territory. Azerbaijani armed forces’ units identified the enemy’s movement direction and took the appropriate measures to prevent the offensive, and as a result, the invaders, who have incurred losses, had to retreat.
The officer of Azerbaijani armed forces, Lieutenant Galib Zulfugarli, and soldier Gafarali Hajiyev were killed as a result of the clashes.

The officer of Azerbaijani armed forces, Lieutenant Galib Zulfugarli, 24, who was killed as a result of the diversion carried out by Armenian armed forces on the Azerbaijani-Armenian border on March 27, was buried in the Vilvan village of the Lankaran district.
A farewell ceremony that took place on March 28 was attended by residents of the village, representatives of the Lankaran district executive authority and the State Service on Mobilization and Conscription, soldiers and officers of the military unit where Zulfugarli had served.
The martyr was buried after a volley salute was performed.
