Several foreigners remain on board hijacked Egyptair plane
Several foreigners remain on board hijacked Egyptair A320 in Larnaca, Cyrpiot Foreign Ministry said.
The Cypriot Foreign Ministry says it believes several foreigners remain on board the hijacked EgyptAir commercial jet that landed in Larnaca.

“There are no Russians [on board] as far as I know, but there are several foreigners,” a Cypriot Foreign Ministry spokesperson told RIA Novosti.

The spokesperson was unable to determine the citizenship of those remaining on board the aircraft.

There are reportedly eight British and 10 US citizens on board the aircraft.

Earlier in the day, European Parliament President Martin Schulz said that all of the passengers on board the hijacked EgyptAir commercial jet in Larnaca, Cyprus, had been released.

The EgyptAir passenger flight MS181 was hijacked by a single male suicide bomber with between 60 and 82 people on board, according to various reports.

The report of the hijacked passenger jet traveling from Egypt’s Alexandria to Cairo was received by police at 8:30 a.m. local time (6:30 GMT).
