He made the remarks during the EIBTM international tourism exhibition in Barcelona, Spain.
Samadov said currently, the negotiations on opening a direct air service between Madrid and Baku are at the final stage.
The deputy minister said that the route is a big leap forward in facilitating the flow of tourists and spurring business between the two countries.
He admitted that the main obstacle to attracting more Spanish visitors is the fact that Azerbaijan is largely unknown in Spain and emphasized the need to increase Baku`s commercial activities in this sphere.
