Three die in Nigerian pipeline explosion - VIDEO

Three people have been killed when an oil pipeline exploded during repair work in Nigeria"s southern Delta region.

Up to seven people are thought to have been injured in the blast, which was one of the worst in recent weeks.

Residents have complained about pollution and casualties caused by pipeline accidents.

What happened?

The explosion happened in Olugboboro in Bayelsa state on Sunday.

Locals said workers had been repairing the pipeline when it caught fire.

The pipeline infrastructure belongs to the Italian company, ENI. There has been no comment so far from the company.

Casualties were only recovered from the site after the fire was brought under control on Monday.
