“The US does not recognize the so-called “Nagorno-Karabakh Republic,” the US embassy in Azerbaijan told commenting on the information about the recognition of the “independence” of Azerbaijan’s Nagorno-Karabakh region by the US State of Hawaii, AzVision.az reports citing APA.
“The resolution passed by the Hawaii State House regarding Nagorno-Karabakh is an expression of opinion by a state legislative body and does not change US foreign policy on the matter.
US Foreign Policy is determined by the federal government and the US does not recognize the so-called “Nagorno-Karabakh Republic”, the embassy said.
