South Africa`s top court says Zuma failed to respect constitution
South Africa`s President Jacob Zuma (C) leaves after a summit on health and sanitary security in Lyon, France, March 23, 2016.
South African President Jacob Zuma failed to "uphold, defend and respect" the constitution when he ignored the instructions of an anti-graft watchdog to repay some of the $16 million spent on his private home, the country`s top court ruled on Thursday.

The ruling by the Constitutional Court is the latest twist in a six-year saga that has damaged Zuma politically. It is also a vindication for Public Protector Thuli Madonsela, a constitutionally mandated anti-graft watchdog.
