Georgian foreign ministry urges int
Georgia will never accept the violation of its territorial integrity and will make no compromises on this issue, the Georgian foreign ministry said Nov. 23.

This statement was made in response to the Russian government’s decree dated November 20, 2014 concerning the submission of the agreed version of the agreement on alliance and integration between Russia and Abkhazia for the president’s approval.

"The Georgian foreign ministry expresses concern over Russia`s actions,” a statement says. “Despite the Georgian government’s constructive actions on improving the relations with Russia, the progress was not achieved in the political aspect. Tbilisi believes that the periodic statements made by the representatives of the Russian government concerning the desire to normalize the relations with Georgia contradict to the actual actions of the Russian authorities."

The Georgian foreign ministry appeals to the international community. It urges to assess the actions of the Russian Federation aimed at the annexation of the occupied territories of Georgia, as well as to use all possible means to force Russia to abandon the aggressive actions against Georgia.

The Georgian foreign ministry recalls that the Georgian Prime Minister made this statement at the meetings with the EU and NATO representatives during his recent visit to Brussels.

The Georgian foreign minister discussed the same topic at the meetings in London and Prague.

Moreover, a meeting with the representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Georgia will be held next week.

The Georgian side will talk about the illegal actions of Russia. The Georgian delegation will raise this question at the NATO and OSCE upcoming ministerial meetings.
