Georgia supports Azerbaijan

Georgia has always supported the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, Georgian Defense Minister Tinatin Khidasheli said during a telephone conversation with Azerbaijani counterpart Zakir Hasanov, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said on April 4.

The defense ministers of the two countries discussed the latest situation on the contact line of Azerbaijani and Armenian troops.

The Georgian ministers expressed hope for the soonest settlement of the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict in line with the norms of international law.

The Azerbaijani minister in turn expressed his gratitude to Georgian counterpart for support.
