Azerbaijani president hints at possibility of peaceful resolution
There are opportunities for a peaceful resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict provided the Armenian leadership come to understand their mistake and behave frankly at the negotiations table, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev said during a meeting with the families of the martyred and wounded servicemen on Tuesday.

The territorial integrity of Azerbaijan has never been a subject of negotiations and never will be, President Aliyev noted.

The head of state recalled that Azerbaijan has today once again unilaterally suspended combat operations along the contact line of troops.

“Armenian troops must cease firing too and stay in their positions. We are in our own land. We have no eye on the land of another. We have not invaded the land of any other country. But we will not allow anyone to dominate in our land. The Azerbaijani state and army are now strong. The soldiers who are currently receiving treatment are the best evidence for it,” the president stressed.

“Our soldiers proved to be decent citizens of Azerbaijan,” the president said, noting that fighting for Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity is a sacred duty upon every Azerbaijani citizen. “Doctors told me all the wounded soldier will recover. Their healthy should be full restored, and so will it be. Doctors are doing all they can and will. I came here today to express my gratitude to them and to you.”
