The situation on the contact line of troops remains tense but stable, said Defense Ministry Apr.6.
Azerbaijan Armed Forces are strictly complying with the consent reached by the parties on suspension of military operations on the contact line of Azerbaijani and Armenian armies on April 5 at 12:00pm. Azerbaijani armed forces are carrying out the work to strengthen the defensive positions on the liberated territories.
Reports disseminated by the Armenian side that the Azerbaijani armed forces violated ceasefire several times after the consent was reached at 12:00pm are groundless.
The Defense Ministry said that such reports are aimed at paving the way for next provocations through ceasefire violations by the Armenians side and put the responsibility for possible developments on Azerbaijan in advance.
