Informing the president and his spouse, Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfas Garayev said that 2016 marks the 15th anniversary of the AITF fair, founded in 2002.
More than 200 companies representing various directions of tourism are participating in the AITF 2016 exhibition.
Belarus, the Czech Republic, Georgia, the Dominican Republic, India, Croatia, Indonesia, Iran, Spain, Montenegro, Russian Federation’s Stavropol Oblast, Thailand, Turkey, and Jūrmala (Latvia) are participating under pavilions in order to provide a splendid view of their countries’ and regions’ tourism potential and color.
Furthermore, companies from the US, Jordan, Switzerland, Italy, Latvia, Maldives, Russia, Slovenia, Ukraine, Greece and other countries are displaying their products and services on stands.
AITF 2016 is presenting a wide range of tourism opportunities of Azerbaijan. Our country’s potential is demonstrated by Ganja, Ismayilli, Lankaran, Masalli, Mingachevir, Nakhchivan and other districts. The Karabakh stand, which acquaints visitors with the region’s historical and cultural heritage, is presented in a traditional manner.
Then the bus and minibus, which will be used for city tours for tourists in Baku, were showcased to the president.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva attended and reviewed the AITF 2016 -15th Azerbaijan International Travel and Tourism Fair and HOREX 2016 - 10th Caucasus International Hospitality Exhibition at the Baku Expo Center on April 8.
