“As you know, during the meetings with the President of Iran, and with the President of Russia, I have repeatedly raised, discussed these questions, I can say that there is general agreement. This transport corridor is very necessary for us both in economic terms and in terms of safety and tourism. Thus, we will offer other major countries of their transit opportunities, and the treasury, the budget of Azerbaijan will receive from this huge economic benefits. Because it`s not only speed up your existing and potential trade between the three countries at the same time through this corridor will be joined by Pakistan, India, the Nordic countries, and the volume of goods passing through our territory, will increase significantly”, President Ilham Aliyev said.


“Of course, all the work is carried out to create a transport corridor East-West. We are working in a tripartite, but a different format - the format of Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey. My visit to Georgia at the end of last year and the visit to Turkey this year have been very useful for the creation of this corridor”


The head of the State said Azerbaijan is again at the center of two corridors. “If we did not have a very positive, constructed on the basis of friendship and partnership with neighboring countries, none of these projects would not be implemented. I have always said that relations with neighbors are very important for us. We have no problems with any of the neighboring countries, except Armenia. On the contrary, our relations with our neighbors are expanding day by day, become stronger, that is the main condition for security and stability, and economic development and cooperation. Let me repeat: Azerbaijan`s role in this area is highly valued, and there are already excellent results”.
