"Daesh also wants to stage attacks against Germany and its interests," Hans-Georg Maassen said, as quoted by the German Welt am Sonntag newspaper.
The German official added that there was no exact information at the moment on the terrorist group`s specific plans, stressing that the secutiry situation in the country is very serious.
Earlier in the day, the German media outlet reported that Berlin had issued arrest warrants for 76 extremists ready to commit a crime.
