Peruvian newspaper publishes on aggression against Azerbaijan
El Peruano, the most prestigious newspaper of Peru, has published an article on "Aggression against Azerbaijan" which talks about the latest developments on the Azerbaijani territories occupied by Armenia.
According to the article, the tension on the contact line of Azerbaijani and Armenian troops escalated after Armenian armed forces violated the ceasefire regime 127 times on April 2, the Lima office of the Azerbaijani embassy in Mexico told on Monday.

In response to the actions of Armenia, Azerbaijani armed forces have taken necessary measures to protect its internationally recognized borders and ensure the safety of the civilian population, the article said.

The article read that the escalation on the occupied Azerbaijani territories claimed the lives of soldiers and civilians and caused significant damage to personal property.

In addition, the article emphasized the international documents that envisage the sovereignty, territorial integrity and inviolability of internationally recognized borders of Azerbaijan, noting that resolutions 822, 853, 874, and 884 of the UN Security Council and the UN General Assembly resolution 627243 (2208) are the basic framework for the settlement of the conflict.

The continuation of Armenia`s occupation against Azerbaijan impedes the conflict’s settlement which would open up opportunities for the countries and peoples in the region to benefit from the prospects of cooperation and economic development, the article said.
