Azerbaijani defense minister vows to avenge martyrs
`Azerbaijani martyrs showed the world that the Azerbaijanis are a heroic people.`

Azerbaijan’s Defense Minister, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov on Monday attended the farewell ceremony held Monday at the Defense Ministry`s Training and Education Center for the pilots of the Azerbaijani Air Force - Major Tabriz Musazade, Major Urfan Valizade and Senior Lieutenant Bakir Ismayilov and the officer of the Special Purpose Forces of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, Lieutenant Colonel Murad Mirzayev, who lost their lives in the Armenian sabotage of April 2 on the contact line of Armenian and Azerbaijani troops.

Addressing the ceremony, Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov said the Azerbaijani martyrs showed the world that the Azerbaijanis are a heroic people.

“It’s pretty hard to be speaking here today. But we have to tell the truth. Armenian fascists have been committing crimes against us for hundreds of years. Had this crime not been stopped, it would be continuous,” said Hasanov.

“Today, under the Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s leadership, the Armed Forces are in high spirits. Our martyrs will be avenged and we will restore the territorial integrity of our country. Let there be no doubt about it,” the minister stressed.
