Group of Azerbaijani peacekeepers heads to Afghanistan
A group of 42 Azerbaijani military personnel including 38 soldiers, 2 military officers and 2 sappers left for Afghanistan on a rotating basis for serving within the NATO-led "Resolute Support" mission launched in Afghanistan in January 2015, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said on Tuesday.
The peacekeeping contingent of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces has been serving under the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in Afghanistan since November 20, 2002.

Currently, 90 servicemen, 2 medical officers and 2 sappers of Azerbaijani armed forces are involved in peacekeeping mission in Afghanistan.
