He made the remarks at the event held at the CMO to honor the Azerbaijani military servicemen who lost their lives during the prevention of the recent Armenian saboteur.
“Following the latest developments on the line of contact between Armenian and Azerbaijani troops, Patriarch Kirill wanted to arrange my meeting with Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II. However, he refused to meet with me,” Pashazade added.
The CMO chairman said that Patriarch Kirill supports a fair solution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev is pursuing a right policy, said Pashazade. “Though we are religious figures, we always support our president and are ready to protect our lands as soldiers,” he stressed.
