Russian President Vladimir Putin commented on the recent escalation on Nagorno-Karabakh contact line at the annual Q&A session on Apr 14, AzVision.az reports.
`The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is quite sensitive issue. I think we should treat it carefully. Russia is interested in resolving the issue, no matter what people say`, the President said.
`The is a long-standing conflict and it was frozen for a quite some time. But unfortunately we have escalation now. And we will do all we can to find solution that would be acceptable for both sides. And of course we should also find the long-term solution and a political compromise for Nagorno-Karabakh. I thought we were close a few years ago, but unfortunately I was wrong.` So we will work on bilaterally and internationally to find the best solution of the problem. "
