Putin will try to ease the Karabakh knot
Russia and personally President Vladimir Putin will actively contribute to the achievement of a compromise in the negotiations on Nagorno-Karabakh, which should begin in the coming days.

The Russian leader, according to the source, in particular, is ready to personally convince the politicians on both sides on the need to compromise.

At the same time, when it comes to reducing the tension on the contact line, none of the parties is not ready to concede.

"As soon as it comes to the cessation of hostilities, both sides are willing to sit down at the negotiating table. However, they immediately start to recall the mutual claims and territorial issue remains unsolved. The negotiation ahead are tough, they won`t do without Russia.

the Russian settlement plan is to "return the territory to Azerbaijan, to deploy peacekeepers in the conflict zone, return of refugees and to legitimize Karabakh (that is, to ensure the opening of borders and restoration of economic ties), and then, when the dust settles, to hold a referendum on the status."

Previously, during the "Direct line" Vladimir Putin promised that Moscow will continue its efforts to resolve the Karabakh problem in the framework of international organizations and bilaterally.

"Russia, no matter what anyone said, is interested in this issue, because we want to work both with Azerbaijan and Armenia," Russian President said.
