Romania will boost cooperation with Ukraine on defence and will donate non-lethal military equipment to the Kiev government, Romania`s ambassador to NATO Stelian Stoian told Ukrinform`s correspondent in Brussels.
"A donation of non-lethal military gear to the government of Ukraine is underway; its details are the subject of consultations between Romania and Ukraine," the agency quoted the ambassador.
Stoian emphasized that Romania attaches particular attention to the development of good cooperation with Ukraine in defence, says Ukrinform.
According to ambassador, the training of military staff have grown in 2015 both in terms of quantity and of numbers.
"The participation of the Ukrainian armed forces alongside the Romanian army in multinational exercises has contributed to the achievement of a higher degree of inter-operability and to strengthening our bilateral relations," Romania`s permanent representative to NATO also stated for Ukrinform.
Poroshenko to visit Romania on Thursday

Petro Poroshenko, the president of Ukraine will make an official visit to Romania on Thursday. He will be received by the president of Romania, Klaus Iohannis at Cotroceni Palace.
